Duke Energy is rewarding businesses and schools for saving energy, and they’ve made it easy for you to do just that! If you anticipate building a new facility, remodeling an existing one, or just interested in reducing costs,  there are incentives that can help your business offset the cost to purchase high-efficiency equipment. And as you know, high-efficiency equipment (e.g., lighting) will reduce your energy usage and cut your operating expenses.

Lighting plays an important role in creating a work environment that’s both pleasant and productive – and it’s a big part of your electric bill. That’s why it pays to install high-efficiency lighting systems. You’ll lower your operating costs while maintaining adequate lighting levels. New efficient lighting technologies provide direct or indirect lighting. Best of all, they use up to 30 percent less energy than standard fluorescent lighting equipment. That can mean energy savings and significantly lower operating costs.

Our role in this process is, first off, getting this information to you. Secondly, by performing an analysis of your current lighting setup, i.e., type of bulbs, ballasts, number of fixtures etc. Based on this information we then determine your current lighting power consumption and from this design an equivalent lighting package based on new high-efficiency equipment.

Then we determine the amount of incentive you will receive from Duke and factor that in with the monthly utility savings and contrast that with your existing lighting expense.

So to recap, you will be presented with a package from Stapleton Electric Co., that will provide you with an overall cost of materials & labor, offset with the new lighting utility savings and the total incentive amount received from Duke Energy. The end result is within a short time span you will be saving money on a monthly basis. Financing also available!
